The section has approximately 40 members who play bowls every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon throughout the bowling season. The start time is from 1:00 to 3.30pm. This year (2023) the season starts on 11th April and runs to September. Refreshments are provided for a minimum charge. New Players are always welcome.
In addition, there are occasional Bowling Away Days and social away days with refreshments as well as bowling days in the park with buffets and hotpots. Through the winter months, a group of 16 to 18 ladies play Whist in the Pavilion on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1 till 4pm. New players are always welcome.
If you are interested in joining us but don’t have a set of bowls, don’t worry – we have bowls you can borrow.
